The Life Reset Program

The therapist delivered program that gives high-achieving women the tools to create a life that brings clarity, calm and contentment rather than anxiety, exhaustion and burnout - so that their lives, relationships and businesses all thrive.

Hi I’m Sheena Schuy (BPsych, MCoun, MSW) and I am a therapist who specialises in holistic psychology for anxiety, stress, depression and burnout.

I help women achieve calmness, clarity and contentment by getting clear about their purpose, understanding their behaviour patterns and connecting to their past, present and future selves through a range of evidence-based activities based on my experience with hundreds of female leaders, entrepreneurs and contact creators.

One thing I have so often seen is high-functioning women achieve everything they thought they wanted, yet still feel unfulfilled, stuck and exhausted.

Often it looks and sounds something like the following…

  • “I love my job but I am just so tired, by the end of the week I just want to sit on the couch and do nothing”,

  • “I worked so hard to get this point but I am so burnout, I feel so much pressure and I don’t know what to do”,

  • “it feels like the bills just keep on coming, it’s like I have designed a lifestyle that I can’t keep up with”,

  • “I feel like I am on this hamster wheel of work, rest, repeat, I don’t have any hobbies and I don’t really have any fun anymore”,

  • “I hardly socialise on the weekends because I am just so tired by the time it comes around”.

  • “I feel like I am not really present when I am with my kids or husband, they don’t get the best version of me”

What I’ve also heard when things get left untreated is this…

  • “I started getting eczema and other skin issues that I never had before, and I am not sure why”,

  • “It wasn’t until I stopped and thought about it that I can’t remember the last time I did something just for me, the last time I did something that lit me up”,

  • “I realised when things were quiet, still, and when I was alone that my mind was racing, so many thoughts coming through, like I have a constant need to be doing something and that rest is wrong, I feel so guilty when I am not doing something”,

  • “what started off as stress turned into anxiety, and what started off as anxiety turned into a withdrawal and depression, my life just hasn’t worked out like I thought, even though I have so much to be thankful for”.

“You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.”- James Clear

Let me put this to you, if something amazing happened and your workload or business doubled tomorrow and brought to you everything you’ve been working hard and dreaming for, do you have the systems in place to handle that? Would you be able to manage your anixety? Your household duties? Your kids? Your relationship? Your social life? How quickly would you burn out?

Maybe you feel like even now you barely manage to manage those things?

And the reality is that if you want to take your life to new levels, to a different space, to go from exhausted and strung out to calm and clear, then you need to do things differently. “If nothing changes, nothing changes”- Courtney C. Stevens

We want to help you create the systems in your life so you can better handle the up’s and downs that inevitably come our way, so that those feelings of anxiety, exhaustion and burnout are no longer just a normal part of life.

FAQ’s

  • What is the benefit of the group over 1:1?

The group format tends to bring out the best questions that others have either also experienced in life and business. For example someone might share “I find that I tend to fall into freeze response before and during meetings and my team has been confused, something that has been helpful is….” . It is also a lot easier to understand and learn through story, and hearing others experiences can really help with your own learning, as well as the validation and connection that comes in groups. We also do your initial 1:1 session BEFORE the group sessions start- so if the group did not seem a right fit we know this before starting.

    How is the session structured?

The 60 minute zoom session is structured as a start of session check in, followed by presenting what is called “psychoeducation”, we present a model and traits that can explain things such as anxiety, burnout, trauma and ADHD and how these can show up in our lives, relationships and businesses. We then have break out rooms of pairs where the facilitator will check in and we can speak about what was presented. We then return as a group and connect the dots.

I am worried about sharing intimate details with the large group? Our job is to maintain the comfort, integrity and safety of the group. This is why we present what is called “Psychoeducation” first- understanding a concept, we then go into smaller pairs and only discuss what is comfortable. If you do wish to explore something further this is what happens in the one on one sessions which is also part of the program.

Do I have to share my story? Absolutely not. You do what is comfortable for you, anything that comes up for you that you want to delve deeper in happens in the 1:1 space with the therapists.

I am sometimes an introvert around big personalities and find it hard to speak? Our job as facilitators is make sure EVERYONE feels seen and heard, we are specifically trained in this and also managing the energy of the group.
